I attended the TOWIB event on Saturday and it was a very inspirational and interesting event. I didn't quite know what to expect as it was my first blogging event but it definitely exceeded my expectations in some parts. We were greeted with cakes, tea, coffee and water along with Hayley from London Beauty Queen making us feel welcome. My initial thoughts were that the room was quite small and I imagined a lot of bloggers were turning up, but Amanda, Aisling, Jo and myself grabbed a good spot right at the front.

It was so refreshing meeting so many wonderfully polite, inspirational and welcoming bloggers that shared the same interests as me. I managed to exchange a few business cards and speak to some really great people. I particularly found the points the PR Panel made very insightful and I learned quite a lot from what they said. It was a shame I had to leave a couple of hours before the end, but I thought I brought away a lot from the event and would definitely consider going again.

For £5 I'm really not sure what some people were expecting? It was worth every single pound. Thank you Hayley for organising. I don't think people appreciate how much time and effort probably goes into organising such an event.

  1. Nice photos, looks like it was a wonderful event.

  2. Fab little post and your photos are lovely! I completely agree that some people seem to expect far too much of this kind of event. However, I guess that as paying customers everyone is within their right to express their opinions in a respectful manner. I think this is where some bloggers have dropped the ball, and I'm sure their pages will unfortunately suffer for it.
I'm a new follower by the way, what camera do you use?
I've posted my event review here: http://hautefuture.blogspot.com/ Please check it out.

    1. Absolutely. I believe everyone has a right to their own opinion, but some people don't need to be so rude. If they were truly unhappy at any point throughout the event they should have just left. I really enjoyed myself and found it useful so I guess that's all that matters right :)
Thanks for following! I use a Nikon D40X. I've had it for nearly 5 years and it's serving me well!
I'll read your blog now! xx

  3. I posted my thoughts on this earlier, I thought it was a really useful event!

I remember seeing you leave because I thought your tights were amazing!

    Glad you enjoyed it :)

    1. Yeah it was really useful, especially if it was your first time like me!
Ahh that was my friend Amanda, her tights are great aren't they!
