Madrid Day 2

Day two in Madrid was just as gorgeous as the first day and we got up early for more exploring. Firstly, we visited the Palacio de Cristal nestled inside Retiro Park, and yes it's similar to Crystal Palace in the UK but much more beautiful (as are most of the places here). We then settled under a tree for a siesta and some lunch before wondering the grounds of this enormous park which even has it's own lake and Alice and Wonderland style hidden garden. To end a perfect day and have an excuse to sit down after all the walking, we headed to San Gines Chocolateria for the best churros in Madrid (which we can verify) before stopping off to visit the Royal Palace and Cathedral, which needs no introduction. Madrid, it was fun while it lasted - see you again soon!
